Zhang Delin Calligraphy Show opens in NAMOC

Zhang Delin Calligraphy Show was ceremoniously inaugurated in the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) on August 2, 2016. 
Zhang Delin is also known as Deling, Jingyuan, Huilin Lay Buddhist, and owner of Baihetang. He was born in 1963 in Lai’an county, Anhui province. He is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, assistant tutor of the Shen Peng Calligraphy Studio under National Painting Academy of China, and assistant tutor of Zeng Laide Calligraphy Studio under National Painting Academy of China, tutor of special advanced training class of Chinese painting and calligraphy in the academy of fine arts under Qinghua University, director of Anhui Provincial Calligraphers’ Association, and painting and calligraphy art director of Culture and Art News.
The exhibition, comprising the three parts of Clear the Mind, In-depth Study and Stay True to Original Self, displayed over 50 pieces of elaborate calligraphic works of Zhang. They included giant Chinese characters and tiny handwritings, fruits of his calligraphic practice. Zhang said that “In-depth Study” could best interpret his intention to “Stay True to Original Self”, while to “Stay True to Original Self”, he could truly make “In-depth Study”. He has always reserved his primary love of calligraphy and found happiness in it.


The exhibition lasted till August 10.
