Sponsored by the Beijing Research Institute of Culture and History and the National Art Museum of China, an exhibition entitled “Beijing Charm” is currently on display at the museum to showcase the Chinese landscape paintings of major historical themes.
The exhibits are fine artworks created by historical experts and calligraphers from the Beijing Research Institute of Culture and History in the past three years. The show is expected to reflect natural and humane scenery of the Beijing city in the eyes of the modern people and highlight the humane spirit of the ancient city of Beijing. And the exhibition is also hoped to show new attempts and breakthroughs by the artists in the presentation method of the Chinese landscape paintings. The exhibits showcase abundant historical and cultural connotations of the city and infinite appeals of the Chinese landscape paintings.
Beijing, as a world-famous ancient city with long history and splendid culture, boasts plenty of humane and natural scenery and historical and cultural heritage. It is of great importance for the construction of humane Beijing to dig deeply and give publicity to its profound historical and cultural connotation.
The exhibition opens at Hall 6 and 8 until Dec. 15.
