Zhong Han shows his achievements of 60 years’ artistic devotion

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Zhong Han to be engaged in the art. The first exhibition of the artist since his artistic devotion is currently on display at Hall 1, 8 and 9 of the museum.

Zhong Han is famous oil painter and artistic educator in the 20th century. His artworks are vivid reflection of cultural ideal under the background of the country’s social transformation since the second half of the 20th century.

The show is intended to showcase a total of 300 pieces of artworks created in different periods in a bid to reflect in-depth thought and innovative practice of the artist about visual aesthetics. The show comprises of four parts, namely, about the Yellow River, interior paintings, humane thought and sketches.

The first part, as the most important part of the exhibition, includes excellent artworks about the theme of the Yellow River. The second part showcases the artworks reflecting the intellectual and their working environment based on his researches onto interior painting of the European oil paintings.

The third part reflects the artworks created after the new century. And the last part showcases a large number of figure sketches and landscape oil paintings.

The exhibition opens until Dec.3, 2013.
