Chinese Realism Oil Painting school holds an exhibition for its 9th anniversary

Initiated by Ai Xuan, Yang Feiyun and Wang Yidong, “Beijing Realism Painting School” was founded in 2004. Painters exchange views on the realist style and representation skills of oil paintings with agreement to hold an exhibition every year. The name of the school was changed to “China Realism Painting School”  

after the success of the first exhibition. In order to present the latest achievements, China Realism Painting School exhibition is currently on display at the museum.

The exhibition showcase a total of more than 100 oil painting of the realist style by renowned artists, such as Ai Xuan, Yang Feiyun, Wang Yidong, Chen Yanning, Xu Mangyao, Liu Kongxi, Guo Runwen, Wang Hongjian, Yuan Zhengyang, Xia Xing, Zhang Li, Long Liyou, Li Shijin, Wang Yuqi, Xu Weixin, Zheng Yi, Weng Wei, Xin Dongwang, Pang Maokun, Leng Jun, Yin Xiong, Shi Liang, Li Guijun, Zhang Yibo, Zhou Chunlin and Wang Shaolun. Despite showing various artistic styles, the participants integrate the advanced experience of the western oil paintings with profound cultural connotation and insist on the language itself of the oil painting. The exhibits boasting the traditional Chinese cultural spirit in a bid to provide an overall picture of the Chinese realism oil painting.

The exhibition opens at Hall 5 and 7 until Dec.1, 2013.
