Sponsored by Chinese National Academy of Arts and the Chinese Calligraphers’ Association, Li Yi is now holding his second solo exhibition at Hall 2 and 3 of the National Art Museum of China since the debut held in 2005. 

The exhibits include a total of more than 100 pieces of calligraphic artworks in a large variety of categories including the cursive, the official and the seal scripts. The show is intended to showcase the calligraphic capability of the outstanding calligrapher in an all-round way. With his transboundary experience in the fields of the calligraphy and the art, the artist has different thought and creation with those professional calligraphers.

It is worth mentioning that the artist writes the poem himself. As one of the representatives of the scholar calligraphy in the modern calligraphic circles, the artist showcases poems, manuscript, letters and articles written himself. The exhibition is expected to reflect his strong personal charm and academic achievements.

The exhibition boasts a unique comprehensive creation in adopting non-mainstream pattern, such as the bamboo, the wood and even the leaf. It is of outstanding visual effect and unique idea of the artist. The show includes some new artworks including pottery and inkstone calligraphy.
