An invitation exhibition of the Chinese figure paintings is on display

Sponsored by Beijing Research Institute of Culture and History, the Chinese Artists’ Association and the National Art Museum of China, an invitation exhibition of the Chinese figure paintings entitled “Humanistic? Beijing” is currently on display at the museum.

A total of 150 exhibits comprise a number of artworks by librarians from Beijing Research Institute of Culture and History and famous artists from the capital as well as some masterpieces collected by the National Art Museum of China and China Central Academy of Fine Arts. The exhibition is hoped to highlight the theme of the historical and cultural connotations of the ancient city and “humanistic Beijing” and reflect the creative strength of the figure painter. The show boasts strong themes, abundant contents and original forms.

The exhibition opens at Hall 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 since Dec.23 until Dec. 29.
