Liang Yu holds an artistic exhibition

Sponsored by the National Art Museum of China and the Chinese Artists’ Association, an artistic exhibition is currently on display at the museum to showcase a number of artworks created by Liang Yu.

Liang Yu is currently vice chairman of the Artists’ Association of Guangdong province, vice chairman of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and member of the Chinese Artists’ Association. His artworks have been selected in the 7th, 10th and 11th National Art Exhibitions as well as in national-level oil painting, engraving and watercolor painting exhibitions for many times. Holding personal exhibitions in Hongkong Cultural Center and Guangdong Art Museum in 2007 and 2009 respectively, the artist has focused on profound reflection between the reality and the history and made breakthrough in new expression techniques in the field of the oil painting. His engraving artworks, influenced by German Expressionism, boast simple modeling and innovative idea with tension and symbolism. 

The exhibition comprises a total of 40 oil paintings and engraving artworks including those created in the past two years which boast strong artistic appeal and visual impact. The exhibits reflect artistic achievements of the artist in recent years and the expressionism style. 

The exhibition is open at Hall 5 since Oct. 27 until Nov.8.
