Culture Chanel is currently on display

Sponsored by the National Art Museum of China and Chanel, an exhibition entitled “Culture Chanel” is currently on display at the museum to showcase the artworks by French design pioneers and artists.

The exhibition is curated by Jean-Louis Froment, a famous contemporary curator in the artistic circle. He intends to present the unique images of the Chanel spirit in different periods to the audience.

The exhibition comprises five themes in a bid to explain unique element and symbol of Chanel, including the origin of the legend, the abstract essence, the hidden luxury, the pursuit for freedom and the inspiration.

The exhibition comprises more than 400 precious artworks covering a wide range of categories, including the oil painting, the sketch, the photo, the video clip, the sculpture, the manuscript, the rare historical documents, the fashion design, the perfume and the jewelry. The exhibits are private collections and collections from national-level museum across the globe. The show is hoped to showcase the dialogue between French design pioneers and artists and excellent witness of the innovative and creative process of Chanel. 

The exhibition opens at Hall 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 since Nov. 5 until Dec. 13.
