Sponsored by the Chinese Artists’ Association and Artistic Studio of National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, an artistic exhibition entitled “Looking back to China” is currently on display at the National Art Museum of China in memory of the centennial anniversary of the 1911 Revolution.

Artists from the country’s main artistic colleges and professional institutions have been invited to create a number of fine paintings regarding the history of the 1911 Revolution. The artists made in-depth researches into the revolution through trips to relevant historical places. The exhibition comprises more than 100 artworks.

The exhibition boasts three main characteristics. First, the show adopts various expression methods including the abstract art to represent historical themes which is regarded to reflect through the realistic way. Second, it fully reflects the style and the artistic expression of paintings created in various ways in a huge themed exhibition. Lastly, it is the first time to combine the creation regarding major historical themes with researches into protecting relevant historical sites. 

The exhibition is open at Hall 13,14,15,16 and 17 since Oct. 9 until Oct. 16.
