An arts and crafts exhibition by Lie Tieying, entitled “Sincere Porcelain”, is currently on display at Hall 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 until Dec, 19, 2009. The ceremony for the donation of his works will be held on the morning of Dec.20. And the show will continue to tour across the country.

Li Tieying, whose courtesy name is Zizhu or Xuanshi, is very accomplished. He has been devoted to the cause of arts and crafts since he became honorary president of China Arts & Crafts Association. Sponsored by National Art Museum of China and China Arts & Crafts Association, the exhibition comprises a total of more than 200 ceramic masterpieces. He believes that the ceramics come from the earth and also return to it. The artist attempts to explain the nature through the combined feeling between the human being and the world.

The exhibits cover a wide range of categories from ceramic teapots and porcelain enamels to celadon and carved porcelains. For example, with close cooperation with the ceramic masters, he designed and created eighteen ceramic teapots through devotion. The ceramics are called “Tieying’s eighteen-style ceramics”.
