Capital Normal University holds an artistic exhibition

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of New China, Chinese Calligraphy Culture Institute of Capital Normal University has held a calligraphic exhibition at Hall 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 until Nov. 30. The exhibition comprises a number of calligraphic works by teachers and students of the university.

Chinese Calligraphy Culture Institute is the first education and research organization of this kind based on the department of calligraphy, which was nitiated in 1985 by Ouyang Zhongshi, celebrated scholar, calligrapher and calligraphic educator. In the past two decades, more than 150 postgraduates from the university have been playing key roles in calligraphic education, creation, research and activities across the country.

The exhibition comprises a total of more than 220 works as well as 30 items by the artists. The exhibits sing the praises of the characters devoted to establishing and developing New China and picturesque scenery of the motherland. In addition, the works boast a great variety and diversity reflecting the unique cultural value of the Chinese calligraphic art through visual information and aesthetic concepts.
