Sponsored by China Arts and Entertainment Group, Li Dongxia has held her personal exhibition at Hall 5 from December 26, 2008 to January 3, 2009.

Born in Northeast China’s Jilin province with the Korean nationality, Li Dongxia is a professional artist and member of China Association of Print. She was graduated from Northeast Normal University in the major of oil painting and studied the engraved paintings in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1997

Fan Di’an, Director of the National Art Museum of China, commented on her paintings, as a female artist, Li Dongxia creates dignified and simple conception relevant with her relaxing thought. With the aspiration of the ingenuous and vital world, she tries to establish a fantastic space with wide painting structure. She makes great efforts to reflect the nature of the images with the concentrated and sincere tone and emotional colors and presents unique spiritual scenery.

Jia Fangzhou, a well-renowned critic, expressed his ideas that Li Dongxia, as an innocent and simple-minded artist, draws with her intuition. Despite almost no experience of special success and failure, she just keeps paintings and establishes her particularity. As a matter of fact, what she is engaged in is dissatisfaction and unwillingness to copy the natural form.
