He Zhongling, was born in 1935 in Dehui County of Jilin province. He graduated and retained as a teacher inSculpture department of Lunxun Arts School.

Patriotism is the subject of the entire 20th century for Chinese nation and anti-Japanese heroes are especially the objects for artists of Northeast of China. The sculptor chose the stone in the place where anti-Japanese matyr Yang Jingyu and carved the portrait of the hero into the stone. This portrait became the soul of White Mountain forever with spiritual beauty.
