Introduction to the work:
Ling Chunde (1926-1998), origin in Liangshan of Sichuan province. In his early ages, he received the professional training ofSculpture in Chongqing State-owned Arts School, and went to Dunhuang Arts Research Institute to research Chinese ancientSculpture works after graduation. In 1948 when he was appointed as the assistant in Peking Arts School, he created "Go Forward". This works is simple in sculpt and clear in style, which shows the heroic spirit of people's army. This works joined the first national arts exhibition in 1949 and was put up as the cover symbol of "PLA Arts" magazine for a long time so as being famous. In 1950, he joined the army for War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and returned to Central Academy of Fine Art after retirement from army.
