Qin Dahu, born in 1938, is a native of Penglai, Shandong Province. In 1985, he was transferred from the army to teach in the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art. He is the executive director of Zhejiang Artists Association and vice president of Zhejiang Oil Painters Association. He served as the dean of the School of Art of Wenzhou University and the dean of the School of Art of Zhejiang Shuren University. He enjoys the special government allowances issued by the State Council. 

　　The exhibition will put on display nearly 60 pieces of Mr. Qin from his early sketches, gouache painting to oil paintings in various periods. These include Growing up in Battles (in cooperation with Zhang Dingzhao) that made his name, collected by NAMOC, and 1949, collected by the Art Museum of China Academy of Art.
