On the occasion of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Republic of Belarus, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus will exhibit 57 pieces of collected elaborate works of the 19th and 20th centuries in NAMOC in October 2017. The exhibition will begin with the works of outstanding Russian artists of the 19th century and early 20th century, including artists Kramskoi, Repin, Shishkin, Levitan, Mackowski, Nesterov,  Kustodiyev and Serov. Russian art is an important component of the collections of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, mainly because the art of Belarus is influenced to a great extent by Russian art. In the 19th century, many Belarus artists received art training in St. Petersburg (Khrutski, Yasnovsky, Silivanovich and Moscow (Bielenicike-Luria, Zhukovskiy ). By the 20th century, there had formed a circle of excellent artists in Belarus. These Belarus artists were not only engaged in artistic creation, but also devoted themselves to the teaching of art and the cultivation of artists. They had subsequently cultivated representative artists such as Wallekauf, AkhKozacik, Masrienkov, Waschenker, Dantzig, Schlelienek, Gloucester Mick, Geleturk.

Nowadays, the relationship between China and the Republic of Belarus is becoming  increasingly closer. The main purpose of this exhibition is to let Chinese audiences have the opportunity to appreciate the classical works of Belarus art and modern Belarus landmark art works from the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, to enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples.
