Shang Ke is professor of Nanjing University of the Arts, doctoral supervisor, doctor of literature and member of Chinese Artists Association. His works have won Copper Award of The 9th National Art Exhibition, Silver Award of The 10th National Art Exhibition and Excellence Award of provincial show of The 11th National Art Exhibition. Shang Ke’s means of artistic expression are application of both fine and freehand brushwork, connection of real and illusory image, concatenation of different time-space dimension and illogical image, coexistence of figure, landscape, flowers and birds, combination of Chinese and Western artistic elements. His multi-directional artistic practice not only highlights his unique features but also explicitly shows modern implication and significance of exploration of his creation. The exhibition includes both realistic and nonrealistic works, embodying in-depth understanding of the painter to objective world and living environment of human beings.
