This show, a second solo exhibition of Zhao Wenyuan after his first one held in National Art Museum of China in 2006, displays over 40 pieces of Chinese paintings themed mainly on “realistic horse painting” created with great concentration in the past 7 years. Zhao Wenyuan was born at Zhenjiang of Jiangsu Province in 1946, joined the army in 1964 and successively studied in Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts(Chinese Painting Institute), Department of Fine Arts of Art College Of The Chinese People's Liberation Army and Central Academy of Fine Arts from 1969 to 1987. He has acted as Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Artists Association, Vice President Of Jiangsu XuBeihong Society, Chairman Of Jiangsu New Year Pictures, Serial Pictures, Picture Poster And Cartoon Committee, member Of Chinese Meticulous Painting Society, Vice President Of Jiangsu Yanhuang Art Academy, Deputy Director Of Jiangsu Creative Center Of Chinese Artists Association, Deputy Director Of Creative Center Of Jiangsu Federation Of Literary And Art Circles, Vice Chairman Of Chinese Horse Painting Art Society, Deputy Director Of Professional Literary And Art Studio Of Nanjing Military Region Political Department, artist of first rank.
