"The companion of beauty of life" is a true reflection of the artistic life of Professor Yang Xin, who has been dedicating his whole life to the research, creation and propagation of beauty, leading to truth and goodness with beauty.

Professor Yang Xin is a famous scholar, esthetician and calligrapher of Peking University, who had studied in the Peking Arts Professional College in his young days with the instructor being Professor Xu Beihong and Dong Xiwen. After the foundation of the new People’s Republic of China, he was arranged to Peking University to do long-term researches and teaching jobs. Since recent decades, he has spent large amount of time learning calligraphies. His calligraphic works put emphasis on the beauty of nature, stressing that calligraphic works can integrate the beauty of pictures. His works have been presented in many exhibitions at home and abroad for their unique styles. Since 1970s and 1980s, Professor Yang Xin has been devoting to researching, writing and eulogizing Taishan Mountain, at the same time, he infatuates in his love and writing of lotus flowers and dedicated himself to explore deep cultural traditions of China from the aspects of academic research and art appreciation.

There are over 100 pieces of calligraphic works created in recent years illustrating his inspirations of beauty, life and nature to the exhibition visitors in multi angles.
