The Second Nomination Exhibition of the Famous Artists in the Present Age in National Art Museum of China will be held in the ,13-17 of 3rd floor and the ,19-21 of 5th floor of National Art Museum of China from Nov. 11th to Nov. 30th of 2007. There are 144 works by 36 Calligraphists nominated by the specialists in the calligraphy circle, and selected by the Art Committee of the Nomination Exhibition. This exhibition is responded by a lot of calligraphists. From the age of the calligraphists, most of them are middle-young calligraphists. There are 14 artists born in 40’s and 50’s, taking 42%. There are 17 artists born in 60’s, taking 52%. There are 2 artists born in 70’s, taking 6%.

The First Nomination Exhibition of the Famous Artists in the Present Age in National Art Museum of China successfully held 2 years ago, offered the valued experiences to this nomination exhibition, and made this exhibition got more interests and supports from the Calligraphy Circle. And it is worth to say that this exhibition offers a new idea that adding new specialists to do management and the research of calligraphy creation and adding new member of the art committee, on the base of the organization of art committee of the first nomination exhibition. The exhibition is launched by the National Art Museum of China, and fixed 3 art museums to be the associates for the exhibition in the state. Trying to play the advantages of the combination of the national Art Museum System, and establish the academic system with self features of the Art Museum System, for the healthy development of Chinese calligraphy art.

Of course, we are hoping the audiences could appreciate and feel Chinese Calligraphy art by this exhibition.
