张尕 / Zhang Ga
 
    张尕，策展人、媒体艺术家、媒体艺术教授。作品曾经在世界多个国家和地区展出，组织过很多学术会议，撰写并作了诸多关于新媒体艺术实践和批评的文章及讲座。他是中国美术馆2008奥运文化项目《合成时代－媒体中国2008》展的艺术总监和策展人。此前，他曾分别于2004， 2005及 2006 担任《千年对话—北京国际新媒体艺术展览和论坛>的艺术总监和策展人。张尕策划过的项目还包括：《代码：蓝色，第三届北京国际新媒体艺术展》(中华世纪坛世界艺术馆，北京)，《文化容器——ISEA2006/零壹，全球边缘艺术节》(圣何塞)，《中国新方向》(plug-in,巴塞尔)，《海市蜃楼之路——虚拟幻像体》(切尔西美术馆，纽约)，《走向现实重组》(Alternative美术馆，纽约)等。张尕从2005年起在纽约理工大学任教，此前他任教于纽约的帕森斯(Parsons)设计学院技术与设计硕士班。他就读于柏林艺术大学，后于帕森斯(Parsons)学院获得艺术硕士学位。他也是清华大学美术学院客座教授。
 
Zhang Ga is curator, media artist, and professor of communication arts. He has exhibited internationally, organized many conferences, and widely written and lectured on new media art practice and criticism. He is Artistic Director and Curator of Synthetic Times—Media Art China 2008, a Beijing Olympics Cultural Project. Organized by the National Art Museum of China. He was the artistic director and curator of the Millennium Dialogue: Beijing International New Media Arts Exhibition and Symposium 2004, 2005, and 2006. His past curatorial projects include, Code:Blue, 3rd Beijing International New Media Art Exhibition (Millennium Art Museum, Beijing), Container Culture—ISEA2006/ZeroOne, a Global Festival of Art On the Edge (San Jose),  New Directions from China (Plug-in, Basel), The Passage of Mirage—Illusory Virtual Objects (Chelsea Art Museum, New York), Towards A Recombinant Reality (Alternative Museum, New York), among others. Prior to joining the New York Institute of Technology in 2005, he taught for many years at the Design and MFA Technology Program at Parsons the New School for Design. He studied at the University of Arts in Berlin (UDK) and holds an MFA from Parsons School of Design.  He is also a guest professor at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing.
