“Seeking the Truth in Image Search—Exhibition of Mr. Yin Hailong’s Calligraphy and Seal Cutting” Raised the Curtain in National Art Museum of China
In 1970, Mr. Yin Hailong was born in Qing’an County, Heilongjiang Province. He was enrolled by Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (today’s China Academy of Art), and majored in Calligraphy and Seal Cutting at Department of Traditional Chinese Painting. In 1997, he was assigned to Chinese National Academy of Arts, where he began to specialize in creation and theoretical studies on calligraphy and seal cutting. Currently, he is not only Director of Creation Department, Master’s Supervisor and Research Fellow of Seal Cutting Art Institute under Chinese National Academy of Arts, but also Member of Xiling Society of Seal Arts.
This exhibition brings together a wide range of calligraphy and seal cutting works created by Mr. Yin Hailong in recent years, and especially highlights over 100 newly-cut and large-sized dark-red enameled seals with Chinese bronze inscriptions. These calligraphy and seal cutting works add luster to each other, and incisively demonstrate Mr. Yin Hailong’s seal cutting research and creation orientation.
