This exhibition of two famous oil painters from China and Russia is held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Sidorov, born in 1928, is honored as the people’s painter in Russia. He is an academician of Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences, professor of Russian Surikov Academy of Fine Arts, tutor of Sidorov Studio, and honorary chairman for life of the Russia Artists Association. He served as chairman of USSR/Russia Artists Association for 23 years. Tuomusi, born in 1932, Mongolian nationality, is a native of Tumd Left Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He is a director of China Artists Association, deputy director of the Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, executive director of the China Oil Painting Society, honorary president of Inner Mongolia Artists Association, director of Inner Mongolia Oil Painting Art Committee, and honorary dean of the National Arts College, Inner Mongolia Normal University.
