Fan Baowen (1935-2009) who came from Yixing, Jiangsu is a contemporary famous landscape painter and art educator. Graduated from Nanjing Normal University Department of Fine Arts, he was appointed as Nanjing Normal University professor. And he was the former vice chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Artists Association, and the founder of Jiangsu Provincial Xu Beihong Research Association, and enjoys the special allowance of the State Council. This exhibition is the last stop to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Fan Baowen. The exhibition focuses on the exploration and research of Fan Baowen in the field of Chinese painting in the later period of his artistic career. It aims to the pursuit of showing his "water color ink" art performance changes in the track and characteristics of the nearly 100 pieces of exhibits one by one, but also it is the most representative show of Fan Baowen’s arts in nearly 50 years. His works have a strong flavor of life, and by successfully blending his profound watercolor and his sketch expertise, he has developed the unique style water dripping and elegance. It has its unique contribution to the development of Chinese landscape painting in the water research and use, and also is one of the important members of the 21st century Jiangsu "New Jinling School".
