Vangelis Rinas from Greece holds solo exhibition

Vangelis Rinas, an artist from Greece, has held an exhibition entitled “Endless Sailing III” at Hall 7 since March 6 until March 29, 2009. The exhibition comprises a number of his paintings and also a sculpture called “Dream boat”. The painter sculptured a ship special for his exhibition in China, which is the third voyage of the same theme. He intends to reflect the cultural spirit of Greece in an artistic way. “Dream boat” is overwhelmed with limitless love for Chinese culture. He carved a total of Chinese characters and Braille words on the board. With a touching fairy tale through the Chinese characters, the exhibit is regarded as a masterpiece with the combination of the Oriental and the Western cultural essences in a fresh way. Vangelis Rinas expressed, China is his distant dream in his childhood and it is a great honor for any artist all over the world to hold solo exhibition in the museum of highest level in China. He hopes to link the two nations with great civilization through the way of the art. Born in Greece in 1966, Vangelis Rinas held “Endless Sailing I” and “Endless Sailing II” in Athens in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
