Sponsored by Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Propaganda Department of Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee of CPC and undertaken by Gansu Academy of Painting, Artists Association of Gansu Province and Rong Baoxuan Museum of Art, the "Attention in the West of China Always - Exhibition of Li Baofeng’s Chinese Paintings" will be held in Hall 1 of National Art Museum of China from August 26, 2010 to 12:00 pm, September 2, 2010.
Li Baofeng is a wise painter good at thoughts and analysis. He inherited the traditional painting method pioneered by the older generation of painters such as Xu Beihong and Jiang Zhao, namely portraying the real people with realistic style, which has pushed the Chinese figure painting to a new stage in terms of subject, painting technique and style. Due to his wisdom and diligence, and inheritance and speculation, Li Baofeng has formed an unique language style of painting arts which can be found in his paintings involving the Tibetan people, Xinjiang people, market life and donkeys, promoted the diversified development of Chinese figure paintings, and made great efforts and achievements for the inheritance and development of inking and modeling language of Chinese Painting. His figure paintings are characterized by vivid inking, perfect shape, delicate depicts and rich subjects. The picture contents, from the unique perspective, reflect his extraordinarily philosophical aesthetic thoughts. Mr. Li Baofeng is a good artist who has grown up from the Western China.
